SOFTWARE ENGINEER

 We have a small team of incredibly talented software engineers who are responsible for architecting the entire product over the full stack – from the backend infrastructure to the user interfaces.  We have a small engineering team on purpose – we value ownership and responsibility, and operate with the agile development methodologies. Our mission is to bring on rockstar full stack engineers, and let them do what they do best – build great products.

Responsibilities

  • Architect a system which is used across the world and handles nearly a billion dollars in transactions annually.
  • Own new feature development – from the design to the process of pushing it to the live server – we give you the keys, set you loose, and expect you to do great things.
  • Understand complex technical challenges and implement them in the latest cutting edge technologies – we pride ourselves on being on the bleeding edge of technology and you are our champion for that.

Technical Skills

  • You are well versed in our core technologies – the .NET stack, SQL, and the standard Microsoft web stack.
  • You also understand and love playing with the latest and greatest technologies – Node.js, the latest web standards, cross platform mobile development, etc…
  • Strong engineering background – at least a BS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong algorithmic and technical skills – we write code that interacts with millions of pieces of data every second – your Big-O complexity actually matters.

Most importantly you are extremely intelligent, a go-getter, hungry to write great code and systems, and are driven to improve everything you touch on a day to day basis.

SOLUTIONS ANALYST

Responsibilities

The Solutions Analyst has a daily responsibility for analyzing and finding great solutions for simple and complex customer requirements.

To be successful in this position, you must possess and be able to execute upon these skill sets

Analytic Capability:  Use a systematic approach to solving problems that involve breaking it into smaller pieces, tracking the implications of situations, generating multiple alternatives, and making comparisons of potential solutions before taking action:

  • Proactively identify, structure, and solve business issues, then determine information needed to solve the business issues
  • Brings about successful resolution of high impact, complex, or chronic problems
  • Consistently demonstrates innovative thinking when generating solution alternatives

Planning and Organizing:  Determine effort and resources required to meet objectives; able to plan, coordinate and manage resources effectively to ensure task completion:

  • Plans for, organizes and coordinates work and resources to respond to data delivery requests and to ensure project goals and timelines are met
  • Holds self and others accountable for meeting timeline and quality standards
  • Ensures client requests are thoroughly understood by the project team and that solutions meet the client’s needs

Client Focus:  Consistently act with client satisfaction in mind and follow through on commitments to ensure the needs of the client are met:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Help customers identify solutions to problems they did not know they had
  • Regularly and proactively communicate with the client-facing teams, including soliciting feedback to continually improving the relationship
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to help customers make their business successful 

Skills Required

Education

We prefer candidates with a Bachelor degree; however we understand that higher education isn’t for everyone and that real life experience is just as valuable as a college education.

SAAS SALES

Starnik is a software company that is bringing state of the art technology to the Utility Industry. Founded in 2000, Starnik provides cloud solutions for utility billing and energy management to multiple industries across three continents. Over 2 billion dollars are transacted per year on our platform. Communities such as Hollywood Studios are billed using our solution! We are passionate about understanding customer needs and building simple intuitive products that really work!

Starnik provides a full service solution tailored to the utility billing industry in a very quick and cost effective manner.

Our Starnik team is GROWING! We are now seeking several agile and effective Sales Representatives . Our Sales Representatives are paid a base salary, benefits and commissions. Please send us your resume if this describes you:

  • Can you leverage your previous B2B sales experience? That is a PLUS with us!

Starnik Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate leads, make both productive sales calls and email contacts that result in building effective relationships leading to the scheduling of on-line product demonstrations with our Solutions Team Members.
  • Support other sales initiatives and events as needed.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to follow-up and support client leads timely and completely.
  • Set and meet monthly goals that correlate with the overarching business plan.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled Sales Meetings and 1:1 meetings with our Executives.

Starnik Sales Representative Qualifications:

We will train a person who possesses the right traits and mindset, and we will give higher consideration to those with: Associate’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field (or 1+ years successful software sales experience, with SaaS preferred). The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills. We are looking those who are highly motivated and positive minded, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
